Looking for a perfect little gift every time to bring at Marguerite‘s friends birthday parties, I found a really different and absolutely lovely website called Fashionette Dolls. The idea is fab, they bring to Barbie dolls the catwalk look from £7.99…

The trendy garments oozes of style and you can definitely see the London, Paris and New-York fashion inspirations behind it…

The clever thing is that the clothes are made to fit Barbie, Bratz, Disney Dolls, Hannah Montana, Moxie, Sindy and Winx Dolls so no poupee feel left out! ;-)
I have just bought the “Audrey “outfit inspired by Audrey Hepburn and the “St Tropez” classically ultra glamorous! Both of these two styles are illustrated on pictures.Personally my little darling doll and I are one of their big fans! x

I feel terribly moved by the sad news today. Being a Parisian and loving Haute couture, I have to say that Yves Saint Laurent was an Icon.

He has revolutionised the fashion for women by introducing us to wear trouser suits and trenches inspired from military uniforms, he was a pioneer of his field and a genius in obtaining the utter femininity through these manly style of clothes. Inspiration came from what was happening on the street and also came from cultures across the globe: caftans from his North African childhood were one of his favourite; and safari-inspired clothes, Russian peasant tops, Spanish gypsy skirts and Chinese silk jackets, a total revolution for the Haute Couture world!
Saint Laurent was the one transforming Haute-couture by creating a more wearable and popular designs which gave birth to the “prêt a porter”. In 1966, his Rive Gauche store became the first ready-to-wear boutique opened by a couture designer.
