Replacing Kitchen Cabinet Handles

I’ve been thinking about updating our kitchen recently, but as I’m happy with the cabinets and work surfaces I wanted to do something simple. Remembering back to all those tacky DIY shows on TV I decided to swap out all the old handles and replace them with something a bit more suited to 2008.

The Old Kitchen Handles

Replacing them couldn’t have been simpler (after I’d found the ones I liked and made sure the screw holes matched up..!) and after an hour (I had 18 to do) I felt as though I rejuvenated my kitchen!

Deco Tip: Update a Fireplace

At this time of the year we feel like having an update in our interiors. I started the process this weekend by changing the tired 80’s dark green looking tiles around our fireplace.

The thing is I like the fireplace itself and the surround so it seemed silly and a waste to change the whole thing! That’s how I had the idea to just replace the tiles. During the weekend, I bought some beautiful real stones tiles made of stunning slate and decided to use these instead.It looks stunning and it is so effective! I would recommend it anytime.
I am also looking for some vintage door handles especially art deco if possible, they need to be 192mm and I would need 18 or a minimum of 7 and in another style 11. So if anyone of you have some you are about to throw out, please let me know.
