We’ve made plenty of friends during our time working at the Taste Festivals. It’s such a perfect place to meet like minded individuals with a flare for the unique and passion to succeed.
Whilst preparing for Taste of London this year I had the pleasure to meet Ajit Madan, founder of Camellia’s Tea House, a beautiful little Tea House situated on London’s Carnaby Street. Ajit and I worked on the Press Area of Taste of London, using Milk and Honey Table Linen to dress the tables and Camellia’s brand of teas from around the world to refresh the members of the press. It was a resounding success (as of course was the festival) so I promised Ajit I’d let all our followers in on one of the best kept secrets in London.
Both Ajit and his sister, Lubna have a mutual passion for tea and this evolved into the tea rooms in 2007. Their partnership stems from their desire to create a marriage of handcrafted quality, unique tea blends and health. Today Camellia’s Tea House is a premium holistic lifestyle brand where many of the teas are blended by hand, using their own original recipes. They only use tea and herbs from specialist tea gardens known for their quality and organic cultivation. And they ensure that every aspect of the business, down to their hand-finished packaging, reflects their individuality and passion for tea and herbal infusions.
Being somewhat of a tea freak myself, my personal favourite from Camellia’s collection has to be their Jasmine Bai Mao Huo green tea infusion. Apparently it was drunk by Chinese ladies for it’s beauty enhancing properties. If it’s good enough for them, it’s certainly good enough for me!

If you’re in the area please pop in and say I sent you, alternatively if you can’t get there in person you can also buy their tea online.

I’m just back from my hometown Paris and I have to share with you this address: Passiflore where we had an exquisite dinner and wonderful time.
Passiflore is situated in chic and iconic Trocadero area in Paris, 2 steps away from the glamorous Eiffel Tower. The restaurant design created by artist Christophe Goutal is sophisticated, contemporary and refined, yet incredibly warm.
Passiflore’s Chef is Roland Durand, the passionate, creative and undeniably talented culinary artist prestigiously awarded“Meilleur Ouvrier de France”.
His cuisine at Passiflore is an alliance of eastern spices with the earthy French Terroir and traditional fine cooking. The flavours and tastes work all together in pure harmony – they are simple and very authentic yet exceptionally subtle.
Passiflore is not only one of the best places to eat in Paris, it is also one of the nicest place to spend a great time whether it is for a working lunch or for a special evening sharing wonderful dishes and wine with loved ones. This address is definitely worth a visit if you are a fine gastronome who simply loves to enjoy life at its heart.

Patagonia is the gourmet restaurant in Cardiff! Fine cuisine and clever subtle marriages of flavours leave your taste buds in pure heaven.

We absolutely love this family run restaurant. Not only is the cuisine refined and delicious (Ox Cheek and Beetroot terrine, anyone?) but their attention to detail, discretion and professionalism is second to none. We had such a great time in this little oasis, we’ll be going back again that’s for sure!

Just a little update on the allotment, I must admit that it has turned into not a very productive autumn so far… We had plenty of tasty herbs and plenty of humongous marrows (which I am very grateful for, I promise!). However there is no trace of any of my carrots, parsnips and cauliflowers…
I take it that the seeds must have been eaten by the birds before they even had a chance to develop… I am definitely enjoying discovering and learning this new art (not quite mastered yet is the least that I can say…)
We’re overjoyed to be a part of this fantastic event, running from 4th – 7th December in
Excel London and it will be a true honour to have one of the worlds most renowned chef’s associated with
Milk and Honey products.
According to the website, visitors can look forward to events “from expert wine tastings and hands-on cookery demonstrations, to Gordon’s stunning live Christmas Theatre, it’s the perfect place to get you in the festive spirit. As well as the finest food and drink to sample and take home, you can enjoy a truly unique festive shopping experience – great for stocking up on unique Christmas gifts.”
We will be attending the event in person and would love to meet some of you there, so as soon as we know which day we’ll be going it will be on the blog!
As the man himself might say, “Merry F****** Christmas!” ;-)
