I have a love of photography and I’m always on the look out for interesting exhibitions wherever we end up on business trips or holidays. Last week we went to the Maison Europeenne de la Photographie in Paris to see a small exhibition called “On the Road” which made me discover different artists with really different views and skills.
Whilst I was there however, I actually rediscovered Elliott Erwitts work in his “Personal Best” exhibition. Elliott Erwitt is a mischievous observer of daily life and his favourite subjects are children, dogs, beaches, politics and celebrities. He is a subtle humourist and poet and his work reflects satire mixed with melancholia. His work is really charming and his eye for detail is absolutely incredible. Do you agree? X
