Vote for us at the Sheerluxe Online Awards

Posted on : 25-08-2010 | By : Milk and Honey | In : Competitions, Milk and Honey, Press

Help Milk and Honey, your independent online bed linen retailer beat the big boys!

Milk and Honey is thrilled to announce that it is one of the finalists for Best Bath & Bed Linen Online in the Sheerluxe Annual Online Shopping Awards 2010. To reach the final of these prestigious awards is fantastic but to be ranked against some of the UK’s biggest retailers such as John Lewis and The White Company is simply amazing!

Vote for Milk and Honey at the Sheerluxe Online Shopping Awards 2010

This is our opportunity to show the world that we don’t have to rely on the big names, and that independent brands such as Milk and Honey can shine amongst those we see on the high street every day.

Entry is simple, just click over to the Sheerluxe Online Retail Awards page, register and choose Milk and Honey for the “Best Bath and Bed Linens Online” category. It wont take a minute plus you’ll automatically be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of Christian Louboutin Shoes.

Perfect!

Room to be Proud on ITV’s This Morning

0

Posted on : 01-07-2010 | By : Milk and Honey | In : Interiors & Deco, Milk and Honey, Music & Culture

Our Sea Urchin Tea Light Holders have proven to be this years “must have” seaside interior accessory. Not only have they been featured in several magazines over the last month, we were pleased to see that they even received a TV feature on ITV’s This Morning today!

“Room to be Proud” puts interior designer Danielle Proud (clever eh?) on the spot in an attempt to bring a room back to life with a box of 5 clues from the homeowners and 24 hours to come up with the goods! In today’s feature it was her job to transform an un-loved box room into a nautical themed living space for a couple from Essex. Not the simplest of tasks, but she made a savvy choice by picking our Sea Urchin Tea Light Holders to give the room a finishing touch.

Room to be Proud, courtesy of ITV.com

We have to agree that the room turned out pretty good in the end, and the couple seemed very pleased with the outcome. Considering some of the reactions that we used to witness on the BBC’s Changing Rooms, that’s no mean feat!
Check out the Room to be Proud episode and decide for yourselves.

Google and the little Prince

Google and The Little Prince

Seeing that google did a special homage today to “The little Prince” from Antoine de St Exupery and because it is my favourite book ever, I thought I would do one too here as I find it is a lifetime accompaniment. The little Prince is full of true and deep observations about life and human nature here is one of my favourite:

“On ne voit bien qu’avec le cœur. L’essentiel est invisible pour les yeux.” (“We only really see with the heart. The most important things can’t be seen with the eyes.”)
